I'd come back if they dropped the last two villages (Cloud and Stone). It would obviously mean a lot to us all if we had all five villages after all. It's so boring having just missings, mist leaf and sand. In our brain it's like going to half of a Walmart. At this point the majority of us explored most of the content offered. It's a no brainer why people don't play. The only content left for most of us is Land of Iron but it's more grindy than life itself.

?? that'd fully kill the game lmao

You really just described the gameplay here, not Nin Onlines endgame.

    x2
    Game really lacks endgame content

The Bosses across the World are well designed as well, you don't feel too overwhelmed or too bored fighting them. The drops they share just make them even more interesting and turn them into a goal to chase for. (At least for some)

Idk bout this one tbh O.O
Most bosses have no new mechanics, they either:  * Flicker & hit hard.
                                                                                              * Use already existing jutsus.
                                                                                              * Barely do damage, but they have 9000k+ Hp

Saddest part is that most of the unique and very well designed bosses, are locked behind a level req ( Kumorui and Manda ), or they just impossible to kill ( Kraken )

And the fact you cant share the drops, just adds toxicity & extra grinding imo.

But anyway, best wishes to u too! /y

You really don't have to enforce role-play on anyone who's not role-playing with you in a specific scenario. What you have to do, and that's an important attitude to foster, is to rely on people to not kill you at any time. A system I was figuring out is <RP Mode>- where you may type /rp in the chat and enter a mode tailored specifically for role-play. Ideas for it so far have been to be unable to be attacked by outside sources like NPCs and players, and equally unable to attack anything until you're out of the mode. You would still be visible, but practically invisible from the interactable world enough to role-play in peace.

I really don't get the idea of you having to enforce role-play on anyone. No- the other players just have to respect that you don't wish to be bothered. Is that too much to ask of a community that wants to see their game grow? That's why I came up with the RP Mode idea; because ultimately, other players seeing that you have an icon or <RP> written over your name in-game means two things. First, it means that you are openly role-playing and that will encourage more people to do it. Second, it means that you really don't want to be bothered by a stray Mud River or kunai or something of that nature.

I wholly agree. Nin Online is touted as an RPG and in some elements it definitely is, but you'd be lying to yourself if you said that the devs didn't intend role-playing to be a big part of it. Why have RP Missions, Chunin Exams, organization initiations, organization robes etc- if you don't want role-playing in your game? The most eye-opening experience in this topic, for me, has been the sheer amount of people who join events like the Exams and they talk as though their characters are IC (in-character)- which means that role-playing is interwoven in the game as a whole and it being with one foot in the grave means the game is suffering in that regard. Sentences like 'you can't fix or change anything' just serve to obfuscate the problems and pretend that everything is fine. That's hypocrisy. However, we  shouldn't really be operating on rewards solely. In most MMOs where you see role-play in rampancy, there are no rewards for it. The part where you get to escape the world, to write as though you were a completely other person, to exercise your creativity- that's reward enough for most role-players. A good journey taken in-character is a reward in itself. Still, rewards would be nice for incentive.

A mode like that would be extremely broken and abused by everyone tho. If its just an icon or something indicating that you're currently roleplaying, would be pretty nice. But it shouldn't change anything gameplay-wise (imo)

About the rewards. Keep in mind nin is a game heavily focused on PvP, the word itself is not huge either, so roleplaying without a goal ( Missions / rewards ), will eventually turn boring.

We also dont have enough stuff to RP atm ngl, back when ORGS were a thing, the ammount of Rp both ingame and in the forum was huge.

These orgs will eventually come back as a clan-like system ( with "clan" wars being a thing ) . So i definitely see RP doing a comeback in the near future. After all the base game was designed to be mostly RP.

Also keep in mind this is a game with no lore, its not as RP friendly as wow, ffxiv, dnd, etc. So this is the first game a lot of people would encounter RP. These missions and rewards would help them get more interested in Rp while giving them some motives to keep RP in the future ( + it'd make it a bit easier to lvl up lol )

Not wanting to bash this post but nin has long been just a very hardcore pvp mmo, all rp aspects are dead including official org rps and even kage rps.

Even if u want to revive it theres not enough players to bring any relevance back to it cause majority of the player base doesnt care about it and just wants the game to progress like a normal mmo.

I think your beating a dead corpse wont lie to you.

I been playing for almost 2 years and rp is non existent asside from very specific moments and even in thise moments its not taken serious at all.

Besides the big issue of the majority of player base not caring enough you also have another issue: how will you even rp if most people dont.

Unless you enforce rp rules which is very hard to do consistently no one is even gonna try to rp and everytime u try u either will be killed while you type or they just gonna a laugh at you.

It just doesnt seem very realistic. I would love for it to comeback but it doesnt  seem doable

Tbh, a huge part of RP being completely dead , is the lack of rewards / motives for doing it imo

Chuunins/Jonins have little to no reason to host any Rp mission.
Adding either more missions or somethin like a " Mentor " system would boost rp overall imo. Nin was the ever first game i Roleplayed in ( cause of the missions ). I used to think it was cringy as flap ngl, but after doin some missions i found it really fun and a nice little "break" from the extreme pvp content the game provides

It really wasn't. Full of things that were never going to happen.

How u know it will never happen,,,?
There's like 8/9 months until the Steam version release ( which i assume is the final product ) they'll definitely add + stuff

Forum was always full of suggestions like these, and people seem to agree/like it cause they all have 20+ upvotes.
I dont really think Devs will release the game ( July 2022 ) with the current leveling system. They already added some missions 1-10 to make it easier ( they even give u pills n stuff ), so the whole thing is already improving.

Well first of all there are How 15 clans and three nations and none with any differentiated characteristics. No fighting style and no proper jutsu. We need keKei genkai and clan techniques.

Every nation/village has unique passives, masteries and summons, so i wouldnt say " three nations and none with any differentiated characteristics " tbh.
Clans will get unique jutsus n stuff in the future ( literally written in the char creation screen ).

Im only talking about the lowest tier of medical supplies. The one YOU currently have.

People in the forum complain bout the *higher* tiers of the mission cos the time/reward ratio is kinda wack

If u cant farm larvaes and scorpions for literally 5 mins being lv 10 then idk bud lol

So 10% drop rate in scorpion tail make me kill 30 scorpions for get a 95.76% probability drop.
If i kill coyte 30 i get 2000xp and the same 95.76% probability drop. 3 ryo, so this quest is worst and i don't see u arguments, maybe u dont read this: he other problem with this quest is the 100 ryo reward if ur sell the 50 scorpions tails(2ryo per tail) and the 40 cocum(1ryo per cocum) i get 140 ryo sodon't have any possibilits in my perspective this quest is good. Ik now why ppl talk in this forum just skip this quest all time.

No one talks bout this mission in the forum cos its a decent LOW LEVEL mission.

Dont know why u doing maths lol, the tails and cocoons both have a huge drop rate (and almost always boosted by a blessing and maybe raid points). Of 3/4 scorpions u kill, at least 1 will drop a tail.

u keep comparing coyotes with scorpions. You can literally 1 hit scorpions/cocoons ( and multiple of em depending on your mastery)  at lv 10+. U cant do this with coyotes

The mission is a low ass tier one, its not supposed to give u 400k exp and 800 ryo. U can literally kill 30 scorpions in 5/10 minutes, fast mission, fast exp, fast ryo, and always a drop chance of scrolls.

30 Mob exp + Selling the drop + Mission Exp + Mission Ryo + any scroll ( if u drop one) its a pretty good mission tbh.

If u keep complaining bout this low ass tier mission gl w the sand survey one lol

This game far away for become a mobile game.

This game inst completed, maybe still in beta and this explain the lack of quests content and other things.
So if the autor of the game need a live world game he need make ppl spend alot of time, like the rp mission system this game design for make ppl play alot equal old ragnarok(i not play, just see ppl talking about).

This game is not desing equal aqw or rune(u don't need ppl for playing the real content of the game) so idk why have alot of grind.

My question in this coment is about the medic suppliess quest, not about the other things i listed in my first coment.
I supose the medic suplies quest reward is to bad for spend alot of times grinding mob like larva and scorpions(larva doesnt give xp for lvl10+ and scorpions is worst) so is just a wast of time in my perspective. If i use the time for complete this quest in coyote i can get 10k or 20k xp and maybe 100 ryo or blank scroll. The other problem with this quest is the 100 ryo reward if ur sell the 50 scorpions tails(2ryo per tail) and the 40 cocum(1ryo per cocum) i get 140 ryo sodon't have any possibilits in my perspective this quest is good. Ik now why ppl talk in this forum just skip this quest all time.

    Uhh what lol

U really complaining bout,,,,larvaes?? Idk what mastery u are, but at lvl 10+ literally everyone can kill larvaes fast af, this mission is not supposed to give u great ammounts of EXP because its a pretty fast mission.

Low exp? yeah,,, but its pretty easy and fast to complete, they also give u ryo, so i dont see anything to complain about (if u lucky u can also get blanks)

there's a lot of missions like these (and worse) in higher levels lol

Thanks for the advice, i keep in mind.
Now i stoped playing, becausethe expesive daily mission(medic ingredients) u need farm alot monsters who not give u enough experience like larva and scorpions for 100 ryo and 5k xp is not worth because u can make 100 ryo ez whitout this mission and make more than 10k xp in the coy whitout this mission, this mission is a waste of time.

Most farming missions are pretty good.t

the mission itself doesnt give that much exp but the 30/40/50/60/70 mobs u have to kill + blessings, its a pretty good ammount of exp (specially at your level) . If u dont like the mission just abandon it lol

People have paid actual dollars to have access to those hairstyles.

How do you not see the problem in offering them for free now?

And blessings? Im guesing u made whole posts complaining on how now they can be bought with ryo and forcing the devs to give the money back to the people that paid real $$ for blessings

Hairstyle changes are cash shop items.

Why should you get them for free when people have paid for them?

Why are you always so aggresive towards everyone that suggest a simple idea? lol

Im only talking bout the basic hairstyles in the char creation screen. Not having a limited & "free" (it'd cost ryo)) option to customize the hair in a game where the char customization is a really big thing just feels kinda weird imo.

  14. Ay hello!
Was kinda thinking that a "barber" npc or something would actually be a pretty nice addition to the game. (ofc it'd cost ryo))
I dont find it something illogical, lore-wise talking.
It'll obviously only be the basic hairstyles from the char creation screen and maybe a hair dye option (ofc only for the ones that bought the object).

Having to either hide your whole head or reset/create alts just for a simple hairstyle change feels kinda weird lol. It'll also give more outfits combinations and ideas for most people.

Do not expect much from the official discord. That is actually not the first official discord that was made for the game.

The players are toxic and the admins only mute over stupid stuff instead of the important things. Best thing to do is to join your village's discord, a clan discord or find a group of friends with a discord and make sure they use Rory's bot for important Nin announcements. I strongly recommend your friends > anything "official" with this games track history. Best thing to do is make it so you have control over yourself rather than someone else controlling you.

If you need party members, hate to say it, but not everyone is willing unless you give them an incentive (yes, being their "friend" can be an incentive). If you are mist, their hang out area is the market under the Mizukage building. You can also find high levels hiding under trees on your GD map doing the mission for money.

Remember to not trust scammers. Do not trade people expecting them to pay you back in the future. Do not let them try on your stuff. Do not spam messages they tell you to. They will log off with it, change aliases and what not. Some people even build trust before doing these acts. Be careful, friend.

Aw thanks for the tips! very much appreciated instead of just flaming me like some players did lol
Tried joining the Mist discord but i have to be lv 30+ to enter and couldnt find any active mist clans ( i may be wrong,,,) so seems im alone til high lvl lol
