Dust will not bad sand, don't worry. It's just that Sand will be a combo of Earth + Wind. I can't follow everything in the series religiously, but I will try my best to make everything make sense. Most importantly it has to be balanced and fun.

Welcome to the Nin Online community Cylan! We're only two months into development, and we've gotten Konoha done, you should only expect Kiri/Suna to make an appearance in early 2014 though. We're going to be focusing on creating a great first village and then expand from there, repeat what we did, but faster.

We've changed that. You can only use hiding spell on yourself, it will self cast no matter what you target now You will not be able to cast it on anything except yourself xD It was a test Jutsu name

There will be equal amounts of powerful jutsus for each chakra nature, and each combination (Earth, Wind), (Wind, Water) etc. It's not a difficult system to balance. Take Kekkai Genkais out of the picture for now. What we have is somewhat similar to any game's class system. At level 5 you pick a "Class" which is your first Chakra Nature. Within this class, you have the option of being a Kenjutsu user, Taijutsu user or Ninjutsu user (Genjutsu - we'll work more on this later). At level 50, you pick a job advancement, which is your second Nature, which then becomes somewhat a job advancement. Because every combination of chakra natures will eventually have the same amount of skills, and powerful jutsu. At level 50, you will have the choice to be any combination of elements, instead of being a Haku or Gaara clone. Back to Kekkai Genkais and clans. They will play a significantly smaller role in Nin Online. I do not plan to have entire "Classes" based on Uchiha, Haku, Gaara. As for how they will work with Chakra Natures without destroying the game's balance. We'll have to think it out more. But one thing for sure, there will not be an early game choice to be a Uchiha or Hyuuga which starts you off with a Sharingan or Byakugan.

Yeah, you can go ahead! But you should start with simple backgrounds, and not expand into what jutsus you have, because you won't know what will be available eventually. You don't have to But if you participate in RPE in future, you'll need atleast a basic one.

Spying will be a problem we all have to face. You have to know who to trust. If I'm transporting Mr Kage in a RPE and one of the escorts sells us all out, you've already made a bad decision in choosing your escorts Mr Kage.

You can't create multiple characters in each account. There will be a bank, but the purpose is to store your rarer items so they don't drop when you die. Remember, dying will cause some of your items to drop, so any items you risk bringing into the battlefield is naturally at risk. How confident will you be in equipping an extremely powerful and expensive weapon if you can't defend it or match up to it's power

Yeap, at level 100, you unlock your final chakra nature. We only plan this many because having more would defeat the purpose of choice. Also, right now we have to focus on Jutsus for one elemental nature. Keezus is working on basic Jutsus at the moment. Eventually we'll have to work on combinations of two elements like magma, wood, sand etc. In the very distant future, you may or may not see 3 combination Jutsus.

I will try my best to deal with the stats thing by offering resets.. I know it'll be unfair if balance changes are made. Which is why a wipe would be really relevant, but not desirable. The permadeath question. I haven't thought about this, but I'm more inclined to not allow this..

There used to be really good siggy artists on the forums I went to, so I just looked at theirs, guessed how they did it, and tried to imitate certain effects with what I knew. I think this worked well for a start, after that I looked more at tutorials and learned cool tricks like distorting the edges of my characters :3

You can't just enter a hospital, lie on a bed and recover HP! I'm planning a system where by if you faint, you have a "Recovering" debuff, your stats are considerably lower. Recovery time is faster while you remain in the hospital. Hope this sounds good!

Clans work very differently, there is no sand manipulation clan. It will be a choice much later in-game. In GOA it is a starting choice to have sand manipulation. In Nin Online it'll be at level 50 where you unlock your second chakra nature, so being able to manipulate sand is an advance skill, since sand Jutsus will only be available once you unlock two chakra natures, along with Magma, wood etc.

Character transfers won't be possible. The reason is that each village has its own set of missions and storyline missions. I want players to experience all this, and not get to skip them by being a high level in another village before release. Wipes are still very likely when progressing much further, but expect compensation if it does happen. If you have a character in leaf before suna is released though, you could transfer some money and equips over for a head start though. thanks for prompting my thoughts!

I said there won't be a Gaara Clan. I didn't say there won't be sand chakra manipulation, since it's arguable and speculatively a mixture of chakra natures, and I prefer it this way. I'm going to include it that way for Nin.
