To clear things up, yes that quote is directly from me. When you come to the shoutbox on these forums, one of the handful of topics that should be avoided is spoilers from the manga. Many of the members here ONLY watch the anime (even Amazi!), so to be courteous to them, please restrict all spoilers to the Anime & Manga subforum. There are frequently threads that go up to discuss the most recent chapter; use them, or create your own.

As to disrespecting staff members, it is explicitly detailed in the forum rules #6 and #12 that attacking ANY member of the community is prohibited, not just staff. If you have a complaint about Hermit or anyone else on the team, you can send a PM to Rory and/or Seth. They won't ignore you.
