Hey everyone, Saku here. Since this game encourages Role-playing, and it being a rather big part of the game, I decided to make a Guide for everyone who struggles to do it. The first thing before the actual Guide starts I will clear something up. RP stands for Role-play! Many people get confused when they ask "What are you doing?" and you answer with "RP". So yeah, now you know. So if someone says he is doing RP, you know what it means. So now, on to the actual Guide. The Basics Role-playing means that you change your behavior and play your "Role" in certain situations. The things you do or say are based and your backstory and/or on the "Role" you took. There are a few things you should keep in mind if you want to start with RP. Using the Chat The Chat is probably the most important part since it allows you to communicate and use Emotes. By using the right Emotes and things to say in certain Situations, you can make every Conversation exciting and engaging. Your Role Depending on the given scenario, you need to realize what your part, or Role, in the story is. Keep in mind that not everyone can be the protagonist, and sometimes you maybe just play a side character, but even so, you are an important part of the story that is about to be written. Focus! RP requires your attention. You can't play Hearthstone on the side or something like that because you won't be able to keep up with the Story. Also, don't get distracted by other people who are not involved. They will probably ask a lot of question, but don't break your role for it. If you really need to answer them use brackets ( more on that on the Tips Section ) You are Part of something bigger Unless you Role-play with a tree, other people will be influencing the Story. Don't get down when one of your ideas gets drown in the conversation, but also, don't ignore others. The best Stories are made by many players together, so try to adapt. Talk about someone in the group, give your opinion about his Idea, or use an emote to agree/disagree. Tips There are many tips and tricks you can use to improve your RP. In this section I will list all kinds of advice too, so you can get started right away. Don't break Character! As I mentioned before, focus is key. So if you really need to break Character use Brackets ( ) Bad Example Player 1 : Something is not right here... Player 2 : yo, 1 mom need to pee Player 1 : ... Good Example Player 1 : Something is not right here... Player 2 : ( I'll be right back, because ... ) Player 1 : ( Alright ) You will ruin the Experience for others, so please use Brackets ( ) Please Care what you Type Keep in mind what you write, since it's important. At least try to have decent grammar. Of course, no one expects perfect sentences from you either, so here's another example. Bad Example Player 1 : I think someone is following us... Player 2 : i thnk his beyond tha tree Good Example Player 1 : I think someone is following us... Player 2 : Maybe he is behind one of these Trees... You maybe think I am exaggerating, but it already saw stuff like that. Just try to your best, no one will judge simple mistakes. Using Emotes Being able to use the emotes makes your RP more believable. The most important thing you need is without a doubt /e /e is used if you want to imply that your character is doing something. With this emote you can give the story more Detail and make it more believable. So if you type in the Chat /e is daydreaming it will look like this It is a very easy way to give your Character personality and a tool to make a good story. Use it appropriately and everybody will have a Great Time. There are many other things you can use, a list of them is available In-Game, just type /emotes Well, this is the end. I hope this guide can help someone. It's the first time I made something like this, so please tell me what you think. I want to Improve.1 point

Dear Ninjas, The developers have been working hard over the past few days to get the Sand Village out. So I'd just like to show off some of our work to give credit where it's due. My desire for to get the village out as quickly as possible sometimes tempts me to take the easy way out and just make really shitty maps with just reused tiles. But looking at all the attention to detail I put into the Leaf Village (and watching Boruto: The Movie) gave me the motivation to spend a few hours yesterday finding more reference material and planning the village further. Sand Academy Basic Combat Class Combat Trainer NPC by Fernando Sand Academy Technique Class Puppet Master Sankuro by Fernando Sand Surgeon Ninja Set by Keijin Desert Warzone Now with added Sandstorm! As you can probably tell, the Sand Village Ninja Academy is actually completed in terms of mapping. The actual tutorial has not been scripted yet, but it will be soon! The exteriors of the Sand Village is also progressing very well. Regards, Rory1 point

Dear Ninja, We're preparing to launch Patch 1.9.0 and have been pushing out updates over the past 2-3 weeks without letting anyone know what we have changed, but this is to amp up the development speed of the team to focus on getting it out quicker to everyone. The game has had a lot of bugs over the past several years and we've been trying to minimize them over these past 6 months. What good news we have today is that we are close to reopening the Open Alpha the last time and won't close it down until a Closed Beta happens. The Open Alpha will last for sometime before we transition to Beta and will be approximately for version 2.0.0. For further details about this, go here. The Cash Shop has been officially opened and will allow us to keep the game servers up and speed up development considerably. We are hoping to bring in enough income to bring back @Rory full-time, so he can quit his job and work on Nin Online full-time. Meet Gumi, the in-game Fox Spirit who will give you information about the items we sell, a preview of them in-game and Special Items Shop. In this shop, you can claim Special Items that you have earned throughout your journey. These items are earned by events or Cash Shop purchases and will never be erased from your account from wipes. These items are stored on your website account instead of game account, these accounts are linked together, but when one is erased the other is not. You can buy cosmetic items here and other items here. To claim them go here. Thank you everyone for your support, it took us a long time to get here and we're really close to making this game become a reality and not something far off. If you bought Gold Ninja by October 31st 2013, you will be awarded Gold Forehead Protectors soon. Best Wishes,Hitspark Edited 27 March by Seth1 point

Dear Ninjas, Thank you for participating in and watching the first ever Nin Online Chunin Exams! The event was a success with a total of 16 teams of 3 participating as Genins and 240 unique viewers tuning in to our live stream of the event on Twitch. However, the Chunin Exams was riddled with contempt for the Hokage who had put in many twists to the Examinations that some of the Genins viewed as unfair. With the current circumstances, it does seem like an uprising against the Hokage is brewing in the midst, will the contempt subside or will it escalate into something more sinister... only time will tell. If you missed it, don't worry, the full stream is available to watch on our Youtube channel. This will be one of the key monthly events held for role-play purposes. Genins who pass this stage will be granted permanent Chunin Rank and will participate in the role-play aspect of Nin Online with their given rank! Congratulations to the first 2 ninjas to promote to Chunin Rank. @Indra & @BrokenInside Remember that everything that happens during the role-play event is meant for the purpose of role-play, and while I am very glad that everyone is dedicated to the game and willing to go through great lengths for it. Do note that Chunin Rank and other future events like Elections and Diplomacy are purely for role-play and do not provide you with any combat incentives. So I hope everyone understands why decisions being made are not as structured and fair as a truly PvP event would be held. Play nice! Also, to address some concerns about the balance of the game, unfortunately, as much of the content is not complete while we're in alpha and beta stages, we still have to run our events and allow players to promote past Genin rank. This is part of phasing into running the game as a service and giving the players the full experience of Nin Online. If we do not start now, and we wait till everything is balanced it will be years before we have both our gameplay and roleplay systems running simultaneously. Now is as good a time as any to start working on our roleplay aspects! Now that our first Chunin Exams is over, the develop focus is being shifted to development of the Sand Village. There's much more planned and being created as we speak, but rest assured! This is just the beginning! Regards, Rory1 point

Dear Ninja, This is mostly a bug fix and balance improvement to the game. We also have updated art for some Cash Shop items and added a new area for Chunin players as well as one new Cash Shop item. FPS boosted massively, huge optimizations. The PvP button should no longer get stuck on. Loading time improved. Fixed lighting and tint. Fixed messages appearing about having a Jutsu already when casting. Paperdoll should no longer disappear on edge of maps. Fixed crashes with game servers. Fixed bugs with loot sometimes disappearing if the player who did most damage logged out same for experience. It will now always go to someone, if they log out, it will go to the last person who attacked it. Made clones and invisibility take target off better from players. You can move while using pills and Jutsu item casts without being desynced. ALT key will properly set you as target before casting a Jutsu. Clones no longer make you immune to NPC attacks. Loot System has been switched to Free-For-All while in a Team. Team members share loot and can pickup other members loot immediately though. It is up to players to learn to share and work together as a Team. Loot System now gives the loot to the player who did the most damage to it. Improved the Loot System to support more than 5 different attackers, it can now check all players online to ensure the person who did the most to the mob will get the credit. Improved client outdated to be more accurate. Added Jonin Standby Station - a new area for Chunins and above which can be found in Leaf Village next to Hokage building entrance. War Armor and Flak Jacket can be bought here. Added a Teal Fox Hoodie in Cash Shop. Taijutsu damage scaling has been changed to use the same formula for their melee attacks and their Jutsus. Buffed Taijutsu melee damage since last patch. Sexy No Jutsu has been updated to keep the current hairstyle when switching genders. Shark Bomb has been fixed. Lightning Current now has a 1 second end cast duration and rank 3 requires a 1 second cast. New icon for some items - Sexy No Jutsu and Skin Color Dye. Animations from items now lock onto you. Added where the seconds left to use the item on cooldown will display in the message. Chat Bubble lasts 10 seconds instead of 5. Bounty Station respawns you inside the same map you died. Buffs support range. Best Wishes, Hitspark1 point

English players, Recently we've had an influx of Portuguese speakers and while the Hitspark team is bi-lingual and multi-cultural, We understand your wish to be able to speak your language to communicate with one another. Unfortunately we have put in the the rules that all chat in the NinOnline chat-box on forum and in-game must be in English only, And since it's a rule the Community team must punish you according to the same rules that we are having to enforce. The main reason why we've chosen to take this stance on the matter is due to the fact that not one member of the community team can speak Portuguese and in order to give all players a experience free of grief or verbal abuse from other members of this community, We have to limit the languages that can be used. All rules can easily be found in the announcement part of the forums, or in mine or any member of this forums community team I will keep this post open so you guys can debate, And if a Portuguese member of this community can give me a full translation of this post it would be grateful - Akiro Community Manager Portuguese jogadoras, Recentemente tivemos um afluxo de falantes de português e enquanto a equipe Hitspark é bi-lingual e multi-cultural, Nós entendemos seu desejo de ser capaz de falar a sua língua para se comunicar uns com os outros.
