There used to be really good siggy artists on the forums I went to, so I just looked at theirs, guessed how they did it, and tried to imitate certain effects with what I knew. I think this worked well for a start, after that I looked more at tutorials and learned cool tricks like distorting the edges of my characters :3

You can't just enter a hospital, lie on a bed and recover HP! I'm planning a system where by if you faint, you have a "Recovering" debuff, your stats are considerably lower. Recovery time is faster while you remain in the hospital. Hope this sounds good!

Clans work very differently, there is no sand manipulation clan. It will be a choice much later in-game. In GOA it is a starting choice to have sand manipulation. In Nin Online it'll be at level 50 where you unlock your second chakra nature, so being able to manipulate sand is an advance skill, since sand Jutsus will only be available once you unlock two chakra natures, along with Magma, wood etc.

Character transfers won't be possible. The reason is that each village has its own set of missions and storyline missions. I want players to experience all this, and not get to skip them by being a high level in another village before release. Wipes are still very likely when progressing much further, but expect compensation if it does happen. If you have a character in leaf before suna is released though, you could transfer some money and equips over for a head start though. thanks for prompting my thoughts!

Keezus, you're a special case. I've been to the BYOND Art section, there isn't much to learn there xD

I said there won't be a Gaara Clan. I didn't say there won't be sand chakra manipulation, since it's arguable and speculatively a mixture of chakra natures, and I prefer it this way. I'm going to include it that way for Nin.

The reason all games do this is because it's a system that both makes sense, and works. If you already have enough money for what you need, meaning you start the game with money, or you receive money by intervals from doing nothing, what will stop people from making multiple accounts to farm gold? If money is not earned through missions, why would you do missions? for experience. That's like making our ninjas like a non-profit organization. Which we all know is not how it should be. Definitely though, we will have very rich ninjas, and things only they can afford. But the way they get this money is going to be from working hard and finding rare loot. It won't be hard to have a list of the richest. But rankings aren't very important for now Thanks for the suggestions!

Hey megablue! Welcome to the Nin Online community, Im sure you'll make a great ninja

Use either photoshop, graphics gale, paint.net or GIMP. You can easily recolor them yourself!

Or each month maybe? If its important, we can have records of which month you graduated, and give it a numerical name.

I learned a lot from siggy tutorials about photoshop a long time ago You can look them up like Uzawak suggested. Keep it up!

Because actual gameplay doesn't really start until you become a genin. If you have to be stuck as an academy student and can't go on missions until Genin exam events take place, then a large number of people will never actual make it into the game.

Nope because that's not done

@Sipher Thanks for putting my thought into words on the first part I'm sorry if I am prejudiced against BYOND, I spent atleast 5 years on and off of BYOND. When I talk down on it, it isn't as an inexperienced BYOND lurker, I used to play games on it all the time. I was involved in GOA's development for awhile, designed the banners and look for BYOND Anime page which is where all the fan games used to be, and worked on quite a few others games there myself. I know how making games on DM is, and that's why I'm obliged to say, the engine is really bad. Have you seen how everyone flies around and you can only see where you are when you start moving, and where you stop? A a calculator made in an actual programming language is comparatively better than one done in a bad scripting language. I don't feel high and mighty over BYOND. I do feel sad that people don't see how bad it is as a tool to make actual games. I would say it's a good tool to learn at best. I wish people who are legitimately interested in making games even as a hobby, would find out, and learn to code In a real language. The people who call themselves iconners there, are obviously detached from any real pixel art community, the good spriters that are there, don't get their "iconning" skills there. When I was working on BYOND games, I think the reasons I stayed were that it was easy to actually make the game out, so more games got released than games made with real engines and that there was a large anime fan game community. The reason I stopped was realizing how bad the games on it were, if I wanted to make good art, I wouldn't want it on a bad game. Though I would not be surprised if some BYOND game creator starts ripping them for a BYOND project. But you are right as well, there are a lot of projects which show promise, and that I would go back and play if ever released like Spirit Age. They are pushing the engine to it's limits, and I'd like to see how that goes. If you know of any BYOND games that are released and are actually any good, post them here. I'll check them out. My view on the will remain until then. I apologize if I got it wrong about how the state of GOA was and the reason it died being that it didn't have proper or adequate staff/management. I was purely guessing. Edit: ah, I re-read your post. You didn't think I thought it was because of the staff. You were saying I thought it was because of the fact that is a BYOND game. I don't think it was like that at all.

Banned for pretending to be an administrator, and thus having the right to administer bans.
-
It's possible, just no system to set the male hairs onto females, and female's onto males except through an Admin panel for now.
-
What about this? Abusing is fine to the extent that you can be corrupted through ingame means like ingame currency bribes. But the GM is still present to prevent irl money bribes and cases like this.

Ah, I'm 20 we're not that different.

By then damage would have been done. New players would have quit. People would get unhappy, and GOA will repeat itself. How do we justify people being higher ranked than others because they are friends with Hokazekage IRL? New players would just quit upon hearing such a thing. Maybe one of the reason why GOA is dead.
