Stranger in a Strange Land

On a particularly stormy day in Wind Country, a boy staggered into the village hidden in the sand. He was the son of a travelling merchant from overseas and had become separated from the trade caravan.

By sheer luck or the will of the gods, he had succumbed to neither the severe dehydration nor the scorpion venom from several inflicted wounds and survived long enough for the medics to bring him back to full health.

Alas, there was no way for him to return to his people. The boy was accepted with open arms by the people of the Hidden Sand village and it became his new home.

But all was not well...

An Accident or Fate?

A component of the scorpion venom, known to cause a mirage effect to those afflicted with it, had invaded the boy's chakra system. The medics did all they could for him to no avail.

His body grew frail and he was once more at death's door but this boy fought to live with all his will until he finally succeeded. He arose from his bed with new strength and purpose. For he now had hope and something to live for.

New Purpose

During his brief moments of consciousness, the boy heard tell from one of the medics attending him that there was a technique, an ijutsu, that only the most proficient of medical ninja could use to recover their own body's health without assistance.

This boy joined the ninja academy of the Hidden Sand to follow the path of the medic and reach the pinnacle of prowess in the field.

He is here and from his breath comes the potent venom of the Desert Stinger! All in his path Beware!
