Kanaya is roughly 5 feet 4 inches tall (162.56 cm), with a slim slightly toned build. She wears a Black Jacket over a Dark Netted Mesh top, molding closely to her form. From the waist down she wears tight latex spats under a type of skirt with a typed of slightly heeled black sandals. She wears Fingerless gloves on her left hand, and bandages covering most of her right arm. With her Leaf Village Forehead protector around her neck. Her hair is long and black, and she mostly lets it free in a unkempt feral style, but when she gets serious she usually pulls it back into a ponytail. Her hair from the roots is a jet black, but the longer it grows, the black fades into a whitish color near the ends of the strands. Her Dark Purple eyes can appear a faint reddish depending on the lighting. 

Underneath her top, she has a scar going diagonally across her mid section, along with another smaller one on her back. 


//// STORY ////
Kanaya is a quiet young woman. No known family of hers exists, having been abandoned at birth and raised outside of any village. As she grew up, her mentor (an older woman by the name of Kagenui Gurren) taught her Medical Ninjutsu and basic self defense. Kanaya grew up with a cold and quiet exterior. Normally keeping to herself and staying alone with her thoughts and feelings, Kagenui also noticed underlying signs of deep Sadism within her. Around her 16th birthday, Kagenui disappeared, leaving Kanaya on her own. 

Kanaya wandered through both the Sand and Leaf territories for years, being a wandering healer until her 21st birthday. A few weeks into her 21st year. Kanaya met a Ninja from the Leaf by the name of Riley Haruno, who noticed her aptitude for Medical Ninjutsu but was displeased with how she was initially taught. Riley brought her to the Leaf, where she became a Leaf Genin, and started receiving assistance in correcting her Medical ways via Rileys teachings.

Presently, Kanaya is working towards perfecting her Medical Ninjutsu, while attempting to discover a second affinity within herself. She has also become deeply interested in Leafs ANBU, working hard in an attempt to join their ranks. Currently being trained by a fellow Genin named Wingless, and Riley, now a Chunin.


//// APTITUDE ////
Kanaya over the years has shown aptitude and affinity for various tasks and skills. During her years wandering around without Kagenui by herself, she showed remarkable aptitude for Stealth. Sneaking into the villages to do her work while sneaking past scoundrels such as Bandits and Missing Nin's, on top of the aggressive wildlife of the land. 

Besides her apparent aptitude for Medical Ninjutsu, she has shown aptitude for Elemental Affinities. Her highest scores at present are split between Lightning and Water. However, she has also shown affinity for Fire and Wind. Beyond the Elemental halves of things, she has shown skill in using Katana's and other forms of Melee weapons, mostly Kunai's or other small dagger like weapons. 

She has also displayed quite impressive physical scores as well. Being quick on her feet and very nimble and agile. Able to dodge thrown and melee hits with ease, while retaining speed and quickness in her movements. She does seem to have issues predicting some forms of Elemental Ninjutsu's and how they'll work, or where they'll go, but this has been attributed to lack of experience with dealing with them. Beyond this minor shortcoming, she is very alert, scanning her surroundings almost constantly looking for things out place, or don't feel right. Both her Visual and audio awareness are top notch, and when in used in conjuction with her speed and agility would make her an excellent scout.
