  1. Dear Ninja, If you update your clients you should be able to login now. I've hotfixed the exploit. After investigations on a case by case basis, I've decided that a rollback won't be necessary. The players who've been marked as abusers by my staff team will be given a warning and punished. Regards, Rory

Then think about this, the 50 players who get rolled back a maximum of 12 hours, or the 4000 players who lost out on a month of training to people who gained unfair advantages within the time a bugged patch was online. Im not fucking stupid, I'm just unfortunately granted a better overview of the entire situation because I've been working on games for 14 years and have to be the one who manages shit situations that Seth brings upon me.

  3. So the game is down only because some of the players used exploit.. Rory and the others. There are also people who like the game and how it's made without using cheating for faster exp or any of that to become strong. Like grinding at wolves or rats for many hours to get couple of levels while meeting new people and being in party just talking and chilling. You guys made an awesome job with the game. Me personally i'm very happy this kind of game exists, like i told in discord. When i was younger i always wanted an open world online game for both pokemon and naruto. I grew up watching naruto and pokemon episodes and other anime aswell. I played the games. Now i have mmorpg game for both pokemon and naruto to play. If there is, actually there will always be players who want to skip everything and be max level as soon as possible even using exploits and such. Just let them enjoy it while they can and fix when possible and when you have time. I don't think rollbacks are needed atleast. My point here is that there are those guys who cheat to get higher levels, and there are us who enjoy the normal slow levelling, storyline, meeting people at the levelling spots etc. Like is there going to be rollback for all of us? Even those who like it the regular way. -Light

  4. Patch Notes 9/5/2017 Drop on death items no longer require you to wait 30 seconds. Bounty pages fixed. You can now go beyond the first page. Battle injuries no longer stacks. Right click menu no longer displays if a player is invisible. Fix crash with invisible player targeting. Fix where scorpions could spawn on mountains near Sand Village. Fix Leaf and Sand missions being given to Missing Nin. Fixed the drawing of Team Leader to use donor color if player is Gold or Silver Ninja. Abandon Mission has been added. Do so by right clicking the mission and selecting Abandon. It will consume one of your dailies. You may now share missions in your Team by right clicking the mission and hitting Share. Sharing a quest in a Team is forced, you may not deny the share if you do not have a mission. Only the Team leader can share. Moved Toad to Hawk server, all development now takes place on a separate server. Quest progress is now shared if players are on the same map. Cloak of Invisibility cancels when you begin casting. Reduced Bounty Ryo reward by half. Mutant Rats mission is now only accessible for Leaf Village instead of Sand Village.

  5. I hope you guys trust that I would not be rolling back everyone for fun. The severity of this exploit meant that there could be players who essentially got months of experience and ryo in a few hours. This would be unfair to the players who have worked and played hard over the past month to get to like level 38 to login and see newbies at level 50. Really, it's not like I want to harm the player experience, I do everything in my ability to make sure these problems don't happen.

  6. Also I would like to add this is beta, it's our job as players during this beta to test the mechanics of the new features added and report our findings to the staff. I was testing how the mechanics for this new feature was and reported my findings, you could do your shared missions past the daily limit. This is alarming when some missions for lvl 30+ players can reach over 200+k. I noticed a group of players constantly doing this mission over and over. So I contacted staff about the specifics behind this new feature to find out you are only suppose to be able to do 3 missions a day regardless if it's shared or a mission you get from r n g gods. If those people repeating steal documents were left unchecked they would have been level 50 by today. And trust me these aren't the people you want being 50 while we are stuck catching up.

  7. Rory if it has to be rollback then it's okey. I don't mind levelling back to level 20. Any chance we could get this awesome game back online again for people to play? So we can get back to enjoy it!

  9. Hey Ninja, This is going to be something different! Mostly because we've reached a point in development where I'm pretty happy with the amount of content in combat, besides the bugs we'd like sorted out as soon as we can, I'd like to take some time to talk about my plans for the game from here. This is going to be my first development log which has no pictures! Inspiration Reflection Direction If you have ideas, please do write about it in the suggestions section. I may not reply to all of them, but I look at them when it comes to times where I'm looking for inspiration. If you want to throw a fit of rage, comments!

  12. Dear ninja, It's come to my attention that as of Seth's last update, there has been a major exploit that some players could use to gain unfair advantages. I've taken the server down for now. I'm not in the state to fix it at the moment, this whole thing has me bedridden and in pain. So the game will be down for awhile, and there could be a rollback. im sorry

Rollback or not, there is still no punishment for the set number of players, this time it may not be done but players must heed to the voice of the GMs. Their is a rollback this time but if there is a next time will you all do the same? As I said before, examples must be set. Being a GM is like being a parent, telling players to stop do something over and over and not give punishments will just spoil the community whereby players will just exploit and think that nothing will be done if they don't get individual punishments, I have not lose much whereby others have gain a lot so a rollback it not that much of a problem for me but I very much hope that it the future before an update is given the it be tested almost to the max because this could of easily been forseen. If I may give my advice, I think if share mission is to be a thing then their should be a limit to the number of mission a player can do a day, and this is for all missions for that day not just the one you get in the Kaze office.

  14. They would only have to rollback the servers prior to the patch that allowed shared quest. Going beyond that patch would be a waste considering these bugs/exploits were not present before then.

  15. We understand it's not that easy. But, it's essentially what we hope could happen. We know it won't happen how we hope, it just sucks for those who played fairly during a bad patch :/

  16. A lot of people here are saying things, and essentially trying to say "Why not just pick out those who abused the exploit, and punish them!" but it's not that easy..

  18. It's a completely sticky situation that you're facing, and i'm sure the decision you make will be one that's best for everyone. I have faith that you'll do what's best for the player base as a whole, since it should be the players interest in mind and at heart. It makes a lot of sense either way. For instance, i didn't log in during the patch last night, so it's most likely i won't get a rollback. But for me to log in, and to see new players nearing the level cap would put me at such a disadvantage. So i understand it from that aspect. But for those who logged in last night, and grinded fairly, for them to get rolled back puts them at a disadvantage too. I know it's an unfair decisions to make, but it's one that may have to be taken. Either way, it's going to be unfair to someone. You just have to stand by the choice you make and hope people will follow.

  19. I understand that you feel the need to rollback to account for those who used exploits. But, as it has been previously stated, there are those who have actually grinded to get to where they are now. It sucks to hear that there are people cheating to get to higher levels, and that those including myself, are having to take the consequences for those who feel the need to cheat. Hopefully, the result doesn't end in a rollback and there is some way to find those who have used exploits so they can be punished individually. I really enjoy this game! I found it back in 2013/2014, maybe earlier and fell in love with the art work itself, i just knew this would be a game i'd be happy to grind at in my spare time and would hate to see it get affected in a negative way due to impatient people who don't understand what hard work actually is. I wish the best of luck for this game and hopefully all issues get resolved soon. I'm sure you guys know what you're doing, and those who truly stand by this game will stand by your decisions too!

  22. Patch Notes 5/5/2017 Missing Ninjas can team up with other missing ninjas. Fix stat drawing on character window for equipment, it will now display the added stats although it won't be green. Green is only for buffs and red is for debuffs. Fix exploit with reviving which removed Battle Injuries. Fixed bug with Missing Ninjas not able to grab missions from Takumi Castle. Walkthrough other players added to hospital entrances of Leaf, Sand, and Takumi Village. Walkthrough other players added to all Mission Desks. Straw dummies no longer can move. Drop on death items no longer require you to wait 30 seconds. Logout animation now correctly appears over a player. Split and combine stacks are back. Bounties are back! Transferring maps requires you to wait 15 seconds if you are attacked by another player. Introduction cinematic for Leaf and Sand Village. Account Manager can return you back to your original village. Removed arrow in Leaf Village Academy exit. New eye styles in Character Creation.

  23. @Rory Would you want assistance designing missions? I could get behind that! If that was something you've considered needing help with, I wouldn't mind presenting ideas to you in a structured format such as: Questline Quest path Prerequisites Interactions NPC Dialog and Replies Objectives Rewards Dev resources needed (new NPC, new item, new vendor, etc.) It would be neat to have quests related to certain masteries for advancements, or general RP qualites. For instance since I am water aspect, I would need to cast 100 Water Slashes while in a body of water to advance my training. (easily done and not much creative thought behind that). Anywho, let me know and I'd start trying. Love your game!
