I'll post up more if I remember. These are mostly smaller games which have impacted how I imagine the way a game world should exist.. Endless Online and Illutia are very old and popular homebrew Online RPGs which I played when growing up. Beautiful games!

Especially Hayate's Gaiden. It could be the biggest inspiration besides Spirit Age on the artstyle!

Dofus is one of those great classics, I actually used to live in France (which is where the game came from) which is how i found out about it.

Rory.. i was thinking about that for some time and since i saw the Hayate Garden video i thought that i should ask.... do you think that we could have npc villagers moving around ? That would really give the game a Role-Playing  felling in my opinion

Hahaha! Naruto is definitely one of the biggest inspirations, not the manga or anime, but more the vision of the world they've created

Considering that he is not the only one that played those, or a number of those games, you shouldn't thank those games, but rather that he actually pulled through in the end. Own opinion. Nice to see that you got inspiration for it though.
