[Hayate]

Short lift I spose but this is the summarized short version of a 3 post long RP character from another site. I've been RP'ing him for quite some time and he's set to become Raikage.

Nakajima Hayate - Kumogakure Jounin

 

 

Standing at 6'1" with a well-toned fit physique and dark-beige skin, Hayate has a commanding stature and presence. His light green eyes compliment his handsome and symmetrical face. Besides a little bit of stubble, the side of his face has a large scar stretching from his right temple to his jawline. This is often covered however by his spiky white hair and it's jaw-length bangs which frame the sides of his face. Additionally, he has a Kumogakure tattoo on his left pec and two circular seals on his palms.

Generally seen in his combat attire,

Hayate wears a standard Kumogakure uniform complete with black long-sleeves, slacks, and his flak jacket in order to promote unity. Knee-high white rubber boots adorn his feet and in colder situations gloves made of a similar material provide warmth for his hands. Beneath his bangs is his forehead protector comprised of black cloth and a stainless steel plate. Over his attire is a long-sleeve brown haori with a hood. It is made of thick material to provide extra warmth and closed by a thin white rope on the front. Finishing things off, a rather large scroll can generally be found hung from his back.

Having had a multitude of horrible experiences growing up, Hayate learned from a young age to cope and look for a brighter tomorrow. This as lead him to being generally a very happy and joking person. His over exuberance has on more than one occasion given hope to those around him and annoyed the hell out of them. Often though this over exuberance itself is a coping mechanism. In times of great fear or sadness Hayate shines his brightest- allowing him to balance himself out before succumbing to darkness. This mechanism can even be reversed to show respect to people who Hayate would personally feel do not deserve it. His quips, clueless impressions, and jokes are more often than not a tool to hide his true thoughts, where he is calmly assessing the situation for any advantage he can gain.

Compared to his fathers politic skills occasionally, Hayate is an idealist and socialite and often makes use of his emotional mastery to act the part that is needed in a situation. This knowledge of human interaction and his intelligence in general help make him a natural born leader and allow him to help control situations in a state of panic. Lately Hayate has been using this skill set to help reach his goal of bettering Kumogakure.

Only natural as a human, Hayate does have his quirks. As a young man he watched his two best friends die while on a mission as they defied orders to save his life, shaming themselves to their deaths. This has left him the need to consume small portions of alcohol to alleviate his psychosomatic shakes. Hayate also can not keep his eyes away from a beautiful woman, so much that his three favourite things in Kumogakure are Sushi, Tea, and Spring- because women wear their miniskirts.

In his spare time Hayate likes to read romance novels. He also loves writing steamy fan fic romance stories about these novels and motivational speeches. Hayate is also particularly fond of the jazz beats one can find at some of the bars around Kumogakure.

It was a windy summer night in Kumogakure as a family packed into a small hospital room, exasperated, but overjoyed for what was coming. A new addition to the large Nakajima family was soon to be born. The gender of the baby had not been announced and was to be a surprise. Hand in hand, the parents awaited the arrival of their new child. Finally after many screams and painful sounds, cries rang out, but not of the mother.

"It's a boy!" the doctor shouted, everyone very excited. Now in his mothers hands, a faint smile lit up her face. She had a very bad labour and was almost void of colour. Gasping for air as her eyes closed with all her might she forced out a name for her beloved child.. "Hayate- like the beautiful gales of wind on the night he was born." At that moment her eyes permanently shut and the family was forced from the room as they cried and screamed.

That night was miserable on everyone, however it was only foreshadowing for the fate of the Nakajima family. Though Hayate's family had been very sad for the loss of his mother, a wife, sister, and daughter, they gained joy in the child. He had her eyes and complexion and was always happy. She "left him a gift" they always said. As the years went by things seemed to be normal in the Nakajima family.

That was until Hayate showed a natural aptitude to being a shinobi. Only three Nakajima in the history of the family had ever been shinobi. His grandfather Masahiro Nakajima was said to be a lightning user of untold strength, his brother, Akihiro was noted as being a sub-par wind user. Akihiro's son and Hayate's Uncle, Mizuko echoed his fathers skill set as well. This meant it was quite a big deal when little Hayate was capable of performing basic ninjutsu at the age of six. This skill only developed further in the academy where he prospered and was often received the highest marks in his group. He wasn't the strongest, but he seemed intelligent and capable of mastering many techniques, which gave him the leg up on opponents who lacked in particular areas. Eventually as a Genin this trend continued and he proved useful on a variety of squads being able to cover any role needed. The golden years however would not last for long.

Almost two months from his fourteenth birthday, the Nakajima, became one of the most ashamed families in the history of Kumogakure. That morning his father Kadou, a notable politician who criticized the hand holding state of Kumogakure, had tried to lead a revolution in Kumogakure. Along with is brother they attempted a coup d'etat on the Raikage. The band of assassins and shinobi however swiftly failed, dying at the hands of the Raikage and his bodyguards.

How could his father have been this vile? Willing to cast away his name Hayate developed a deep hatred for his father and the horrible life he had left Hayate. Though people were rude at first and cruel to the boy, eventually people began to treat him better. As a forgiving place, Kumogakure would not hurt the child for the sins of the father.

Now in a right state of mind Hayate applied for the the Chuunin exams. Though a far cry from the clan powerhouses he was able to best a Chuunin after a drawn out battle by exploiting his weakness to Genjutsu. With the success, people began to take note of his talent.

Following these events however his first year as a Chuunin was rather uneventful. His second year however had him placed in a large platoon on an important mission. Sent to gather intel on the enemy camp, Hayate was found and quickly overwhelmed by a platoon of opponents. Though ordered by the Jounin overseeing the mission to leave him, Hayate's good friends growing up, Suou and Konjo disobeyed the orders claiming that was not the Kumogakure way. Konjo fought violently but was soon overwhelmed and pierced through the side. His leg broken and barely able to move Hayate screamed in rage as tried to help his teammate just as one of the opponents aimed a slash right at Hayate's neck. Suou, his long time crush dove in front of him, the slash severing her neck. In anger, Hayate launched an attack at his opponent unlike any other he had ever felt- it was like a flurry of lightning. When the light finally faded the opponent fell, riddled with holes, as Suou finally took her last breath bleeding to death in Hayate's arms.

Suou and Konjo, had planned all along for support to show up. They were respectively Yuurei and Jinrai clan members and thus eventually the planned Jounin had to show up with the platoon to prevent their bloodlines from being lost to the opponent. They did not however expect their punishment to be the platoon not regrouping with them till it was too late.

Recovering slowly, Hayate was able to soldier through his experience, though had now developed a slight dependency on alcohol to prevent his psychosomatic shakes. In the eye of the higher ups, he eventually was sent on a hunting mission related to the same opponents that had killed his friends. Once more his four man squad was pinned and they were failing to form a strong attack. Sealing, his opponents began to channel a technique that would allow them to easily wipe the squad off the map. Quickly reacting Hayate debuted his mastery over his Suiton element too sending two streams of water forth and blowing a hole right through the enemy's hands. With the enemies hands mutilated and now unable to use jutsu, his team successfully captured the opponents. His leadership and prompt reaction helped push forward the final steps in his promotion to Jounin.

Nearly two years later and now twenty, Hayate has gone from leading missions, to teaching at the academy, to even teaching a new generation of Genin. His focus on this new generation it is his dream that he can help them become strong and create a safer and solidified future for Kumogakure.

In combat, Hayate generally likes to first test his opponents to gain the extent of their ability. From there forward, he generally aims to tire them with a barrage of strong attacks. If successful in this process he generally will finish his opponent from close range. When this strategy does not work however Hayate often tries to bait his opponents into traps or sticky situations. Over all though Hayate is a very balanced Jounin and if push comes to shove he is comfortable fighting via any methods. In light of recent incidents he has been training hard to become a better close quarters combatant.

In addition to his heavy proficiency in Ninjutsu, Taijutsu, Genjutsu, Fuuinjutsu, and his three elements Hayate is a sensor trained in what is commonly known as Mind's Eye Sensory- a form of sensory without any medium involved, so they can sense anyone, no matter where they are hiding. Sensors of this path are able to “feel” chakra signatures and sense chakra levels.

After the proper hand seals, Hayate releases the chakra creating a small vortex of fuuton chakra beneath each foot. While this does not increase his speed this allows each foot hover approximately a foot above the ground on a cloud of air thus surpassing pressure sensitive traps or potential ground hazards for up to three posts.

C-Rank Ninjutsu

After the proper hand seals, Hayate flicks his fingers releasing a five-meter long horizontal blade of wind. This technique travels at a speed of six at the direction fired for up to ten meters before dissipating. This technique is easily able to cut through even five inches of steel and can be devastating on the human body, especially at very close range. In addition to the slicing motion the wind is able to knock targets with lower than five strength off their feet easily.

C-Rank Ninjutsu

After the proper hand seals, Hayate raises his arms and opens his hands causing a large circular and rotating gale of wind to appear around him. Acting as the epicenter, whenever he moves the wind pushes outward in a five meter radius at a speed and strength equal to his ninjutsu+control/2 up to a maximum of eight. This jutsu lasts as long as Hayate's hands are raised and he has chakra. The wind is capable of easily causing cuts similar to a katana and obiliterates whatever comes into contact with it. If someone is caught in the gale with less strength then the jutsu they will be knocked to the ground.

C-Rank Ninjutsu

After the proper hand seals, Hayate flicks his fingers releasing a five-meter wide vertical blade of wind above a target within ten meters. The blade of wind forms three meters above about a target and falls at a speed of six downward unto the target. This technique is easily able to cut through even five inches of steel and can be devastating on the human body, especially at very close range. In addition to the slicing motion the wind is able to knock targets with lower than five strength off their feet easily.

C-Rank Ninjutsu

After the proper hand seal, Hayate creates three tiny spheres of densely packed wind energy. The spheres orbit around his body and on impact rupture into a gust of wind one-meter wide and equivalent to a standard exploding tag. The wind is capable of causing deep cuts.

B-Rank Ninjutsu

After performing a string of hand seals, Hayate will channel chakra through ought his body emitting a cloak consisting of a thick layer of Raiton chakra around their body. The chakra will then act as a light armor from weak projectiles like senbon or weak jutsu. At first glance, a higher level technique that does what genin techniques are capable of seems alarming, but the reason for the weak armor is due to the true strength of the technique being the electricity in the armor. The electricity charges the muscles and creates stimuli, allowing Hayate to move at a far greater speed, though this sudden burst of speed comes with a drawback- a loss of control. (+3 Speed/-3 Control) This lasts for up to five posts unless dismissed by the user.

B-Rank Ninjutsu

Prerequisite: [Raiton • Overdrive]

Once the initial cloak is created, Hayate can add more chakra with a string of additional hand seals. This extra chakra thickents the cloak of Raiton chakra around his body and allows it to gain additional defensive properties, capable of defending against stronger physical attacks and jutsu. If anyone makes contact with this armor they will be delivered painful shocks similar to a multitude of kunai ripping the area of contact apart. This lasts for up to five posts unless dismissed.

A-Rank Ninjutsu

After performing a string of hand seals, Hayate channels a large amount of raiton chakra into two shuriken. After throwing them in a given direction, Hayate than makes a single hand seal, causing the projectiles to multiply, launch in the original direction, then continue to repeat for two posts. This causes massive amounts of pure raiton shurikens to completely batter a massive area in a dense pattern. Each shuriken travels at a speed of ten and pierces with a strength of nine. The two projectiles and their clones number so vastly, they can densely cover up to a twenty-meters radius.

B-Rank Ninjutsu

After performing the required hand seals, Hayate is able to pack a dense amount of suiton chakra in each hand, and upon releasing it cause an extremely pressurized blade made of a two inch thick, fiften meter length jet of water to flow forth from each hand at a speed of eight and strength of seven for up to two posts or until dismissed.

B-Rank Ninjutsu

After performing the required hand seals, a layer of water excretes itself from Hayate forming into an exact copy of himself. This copy is capable of performing suiton jutsu powered by itself.

Suiton • Divine Armament]

A-Rank Ninjutsu

After performing the required hand seals and holding the last one, eight arms made completely of water rise up from the ground or a nearby water source. Each arm is three feet thick and can stretch up to fifteen-meters in length and move up to twenty meters away from Hayate. As long as Hayate maintains the seal he can control the arms at a speed and strength equal to the average of his ninjutsu and control, for a maximum of six posts. At that point the arms will collapse with a speed of ten and a strength of nine onto whatever is beneath them.

A-Rank Ninjutsu

After the proper hand seals a large spiral of water emerges from the ground or a nearby water source within fifteen meters of Hayate at a speed of 10 and strength of 9. After the spiral rises to it's full height of ten meters it uncoils into the form of a river dragon approximately fifteen meters long and one meter wide. The river dragon moves at a speed and strength equal to Hayate's ninjutsu+control/2 up to a maximum of twelve for up to five posts, or until dismissed. Upon hitting a target the river dragon breaks apart into a massive wave with the dragons previous momentum.

S-Rank Ninjutsu

An extremely devastating technique, after the proper hand seals a large torrential sphere of water begins to form in Hayate's hand. The sphere itself glows blue and is a mass of pure water that violently churns in every direction at a speed of 11. What makes this jutsu so incredibly dangerous though is it's perfect use of waters flowing properties. Anything that touches the event horizon of the three meter diameter sphere with less than 11 strength gets pulled in with an incredible force towards the middle of the sphere. Inside the sphere they will be tossed around violently by the churning waves making it extremely hard to even move and hold their breath in the oxygen-less environment. Finally, if the target doesn't drown Hayate can finish off the G?uky? by detonating it. As the sphere contracts to increase the pressure water often is forced into the body of the victim before the sphere implodes with a crushing force of eleven exploding tags. This technique lasts for five posts or until detonated.

My nature for when I start a fight will be Calm, serious and highly intellectual, but as a fight will go on my more serious nature is exposed and this is where the fun really begins. I will be a lot like Tobi's former nature. (before he became serious.) the point of this is to throw my opponent off balance and put him in a sense of being played or toyed with, getting him/ her agitated to the point where it inevitably force the mistake(s).

 

Most of you will be under my genjutsu before you realize that someone is behind you. Others, who are trained, will last long enough to hear the sound of metal being flicked.

Considering we're talking a Konoha nin, probably a sociopathic wolf in sheep's clothing that's the kind of guy that always attracts attention, that not many can say they dislike. Highly efficient, an assassin, and a master of both Katon and Fuuton jutsu. The kind of guy that'd eventually go rogue and have his true colors as a complete monster come to light.
